Welcome to The Social Work Collective: CPD for Newly Qualified Social Workers

The school system is so deeply embedded in me that September always feels like a new year. I'm aware of the irony given that I'm a home educating parent. The temptation to buy new stationary is real.

It's also the time of year that so many ASYE programmes begin and so many of you are starting your social work journey.

The Social Work Collective is my online membership for newly qualified social workers in children's services. I am so excited to share the monthly masterclasses with you; 12 months of practical guidance and skills support to bring you confidence and calm.

Why I started The Social Work Collective...

3 years ago I started posting on instagram to help new social workers in children's services. I started to run masterclasses to teach practice skills and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. The Social Work Collective brings masterclasses every month along with a CPD hub of bitesize resources. I run this as a membership to ensure that is it accessible for as many people as possible.

How does The Social Work Collective run?

  • Individuals can join the membership on a monthly basis. It is currently £15 each month. This sets up a subscription which can be cancelled at anytime.

  • There are additional discounted options for 3/6/12 month memberships.

  • Local Authorities can also access discounted options to enroll ASYE cohorts.

  • Monthly Masterclasses will be held live via zoom on the last Wednesday of every month, as lunchtime sessions. A full timetable will be available to members when they join.

  • All masterclasses are recorded and available for members to watch in their own time, split up into bitesize videos and held in the CPD hub.

  • The CPD hub is accessible for all members. There are 40+ resources including recorded video training, mini guides and pdf downloads.

  • Access to a private question box allows members to get in touch, request support, mentoring and additional training.

  • An optional private facebook group allows members the option to be part of the online community, to share resources.

If you want to join as an individual, make sure you are signed up to the waiting list for the first release of spaces on 8th September 10am.

If you are an academy lead or in workforce development, and you would like to join your ASYE cohort for one or all of the CPD masterclasses please GET IN TOUCH for the full brochure of how it works.
